Learning Disabilities Checklists

Have you ever wondered how to describe your LD child's strengths and weaknesses? I have personally struggled when it comes time to discuss this at IEP meetings. I'm never quite sure how to word things to get my point across adequately. Well, About.com has compiled checklists for this very purpose.

These observational checklists will help you determine where your child's strengths and weaknesses are. Check the appropriate items and bring forward to your IEP meeting or for a parent/teacher meeting.

These checklists cover a wide range of topics....written skills, reading skills, math skills, fine and gross motor skills, listening comprehension, oral language development, social skills, and behavior. In addition, they provide an extensive list of possible accommodations that may be beneficial to your LD child.
