Parents of ADHD and/or LD children know all too well how difficult it is for them to keep their school work, papers, notebooks, etc. organized. In fact, I've written several posts on this very topic. However, have you ever thought about how to best organize their computer work. It is all too easy for saved files to get buried in the depths of the computer.... saved.... somewhere. Then the search begins.
LD Online recently published an
article on this topic entitled
Organizational Skills for Students with Learning Disabilities: The Digital Master Filing System. The author, Patricia W. Newhall, offers useful tips on organizing your child's computer work. Wouldn't this summer be a great time to "virtually organize" your child in preparation for the upcoming school year?
