100 Ways Your ADHD/LD Child Can Make a Difference

Are you looking for something to keep your ADHD/LD child busy this summer? The Youth Service America website has compiled a list of 100 ways your child can help serve your community....and keep them busy in the process. According the their website:

Young people are serving their communities at record numbers. Each year, approximately 13 million teens give 2.4 billion hours of service back to
their communities.

Their list offers suggestions such as:
  • Help cook and /or serve a meal at a homeless shelter
  • Visit senior citizens at a nursing home
  • Paint a mural over graffiti
  • Send a letter to one of America's veterans or overseas soldiers
  • Recycle

What a wonderful way to encourage your child's personal growth, creativity and improve his self esteem. Visit the YSA website to view the complete list. You can also find other volunteer opportunities specific to your area just by entering your zip code on their home page. Have fun!
